1993 – Sugar Mill Ponds was a derelict site filled with all kinds of rubbish

1995 – The first stage of transforming the ponds involve draining water from the east pond and clearing out all the rubbish.

Then a job of landscaping the ponds began..

..a car park, footpaths and fishing platforms were built.

1999 & Today – The ponds are now a haven enjoyed by the local community, schools and wildlife alike.
