Friends of Sugar Mill Ponds

Friends of Sugar Mill Ponds The Sugar Mill Ponds Friends Group was set up in July 1998 with the main aim of providing community participation and involvement in all aspects of site management. It is also hoped that the group will help secure future funding for site management, resolve any differences between site user groups and establish links with other similar ‘friends’ groups.   The group meets approximately every 2 months at Rawcliffe Bridge Primary School. The group has a chairperson, regular agenda items and anyone with an interest in the well-being of the Sugar Mill Ponds is welcome to join.

Sugar Mill Ponds

Due to social Distancing measures put in place by the government we are aware that people are using the ponds to access their daily exercise which is lovely to see the ponds being visited by everyone in the community. To make sure we keep this a safe area that can be continued to be used, the ponds are now NOT accessible by car, only by foot. Please DO NOT travel to the ponds by any vehicle as the gates are now closed until further notice. Access is for walkers only.
We thank you for your cooperation and hope you all stay safe
