BECOME A SMP FRIEND – WITH YOU WE CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE

The Sugar Mill Ponds Trustees and Friends Group (SMP) is a voluntary group and a registered charity.  Of late our numbers have decreased through retirements and we are looking to increase its members. SMP was started in 1998 with the main aim of providing community participation and involvement in all aspects of site management.  The Group is also the link between the site users and similar ‘friends’ groups. SMP has a chairperson and meet quarterly at the Rawcliffe Bridge Club, Paper Mill Lane, Rawcliffe Bridge. There are regular agenda items and everyone is welcome to join. There are no specific qualities and skills needed for this role other than an interest in the welfare and the health of the Ponds. As a volunteer member you will meet like-minded people, support a local wildlife nature area, and contribute to the wellbeing of the Ponds.
